Nokia-Siemens JV names top brass
Nokia and Siemens have announced the top executive team for NSN, the 50:50 JV that combines the network business group of the two multinationals.
The new company is expected to start operations by next year, subject to regulatory approvals, the completion of standard closing conditions, and the agreement of a number of detailed implementation steps.
Mika Vehviläinen is being appointed as the COO. He is currently the senior VP and GM, core networks, Nokia. As a COO, he will be responsible for radio access, operation support systems, service core and applications, IP networking and transport and broadband access business units.
Karl-Christoph Caselitz, who is currently president, mobile networks, Siemens Communications will be the chief marketing officer (CMO). As a CMO, he will be responsible for regional operations, management of global accounts, and marketing & sales management. He will also oversee the services business unit of NSN.
