NEW DELHI: Former information technology secretary Ram Sewak Sharma on Monday formally started his three-year stint as the new chairman of the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai), saying his top priorities include addressing the issue of call drops, making broadband available to all and bringing out recommendations on net neutrality.

“Some of the issues that I have been able to figure out as secretary, DeitY, Member of Telecom Commission, and a common man are quality of service, the need to discuss net neutrality and expediting digitisation of broadcast services,” Sharma told reporters.
