MTNL slashes ISD rates for GSM, 3G subscribers
State-run MTNL today slashed ISD calling rates for its GSM as well as 3G subscribers, bringing down the cost for calls to countries such as US, Canada and China to Rs 1 per minute.
MTNL, on the occasion of completing 25 years in service, today announced a ninety days' promotion scheme through which ISD calling rates to Argentina, Bahrain, Cyprus, Jordan, South Korea, Malaysia and Sweden would be reduced to Rs 3 per minute.
The PSU has cut the rate for Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Columbia, Indonesia, Iraq, Russia, Taiwan, Uzbekistan and Vietnam to Rs 5 per minute.
The tariff will come into effect from tomorrow. In all, the offer would cover 26 countries for a promotional period of three months.
