Meridian launches ‘Fly Mobile’ in India
Meridian Mobile has launched its flagship brand for GSM phones “Fly” in India.

NEW DELHI: Meridian Mobile has launched its flagship brand for GSM phones “Fly” in India. Fly was launched about two years ago in East and Central Europe and has since emerged as a strong player in that market. It has in a short span also carved a credible market in these countries and is now being launched in UK, Spain, Germany and South Asia. Meridian Telecom is poised to become one of the fastest growing companies in mobile telephony today.
Some of the models that have been launched in the Indian market are high-end phones, like:
Fly SL 500M: This is a chic and very thin slider camera phone with Bluetooth. It is a feature-rich handset with a 262K colour screen and a 1.3 Mega-Pixel camera with Flash. It also has a Video Recorder and Player that allows for continuous video recording. It has a 60 MB Internal memory, and Expandable External Memory (T-Flash) slot. It allows for video ring tones with MPEG 4 and IRDA. It also has other features such as MP3 player and 64 tone polyphonic and MP3 tones.
Some of the accessories available with the Fly SL 500M include the USB cable, PC sync CD, to name a few. Its compact size (87 mm x 44 mm x 16.2 mm) and weight of only 90 grams makes it very easy to carry. It has a talktime of 3 hours and a standby of over 150 hours. It has Tri-band frequency and supports Java downloads. It also features Bluetooth V1.1 (Voice) support.
Fly SL500m is available in two colours, Black & Titan.

Fly SL 300M: This is a very smart slider camera phone and comes in a very attractive black and silver color. Feature-wise it is quite similar to the Fly SL 500M. It has a 262K colour screen, and a 1.3 Mega-Pixel camera with Flash. It also has a Video Recorder and Player that enables continuous video recording. It has a 60 MB Internal memory, and Expandable External Memory (T-Flash) slot. It has MP3 player, and 64 tone polyphonic, MP3 and video ring tones. It has an Expandable External Memory (T-Flash) slot. It also has IRDA connectivity.
Fly SL 300M is priced at Rs 7,999/-.
Fly MP 330: This is the only phone in the market that can enhance equivalent volume of 40 Watts. Fly MP 330 is a Clamshell Camera phone with a 1.3 Mega-Pixel camera with woofer and speaker console, which is yet to be launched even in the West. It also has features like video recorder and player, 64 tone polyphonic and MP3 tones. It has a 60 MB Internal Memory and an Expandable External Memory (T-Flash) slot. It also has an MP3 Player and enables video ring tones.
Fly MP 330 is priced at Rs 9,499/-.
Fly 2040 also has features like unlimited Sound Recorder, Conversion Recorder and Melody Composer. USB Data Cable and Stereo Headset are made available with the handset.

Fly MX 300 - This is a slim clamshell phone, with 262K TFT main LCD display and 65K CSTN sub-LCD display. It is one of the slimmest in its category at only 14.9 mm. It has features like video ringtones, 1.3 Mega-Pixel camera with Flash, Bluetooth enabled (voice, data and music), MP3 player, continuous video recording and playback, 60 MB Internal Memory (Nand Flash), Micro SD Card Slot and IrDA connectivity.
