Manoj Kohli acquires 80,000 shares in Airtel

Bharti Airtel on Monday said Manoj Kumar Kohli its CEO and Joint Managing Director has acquired 80,000 shares for Rs 3.04 crore in the company pursuant to conversion of stock options.

MUMBAI: Bharti Airtel on Monday said Manoj Kumar Kohli its CEO and Joint Managing Director has acquired 80,000 shares for Rs 3.04 crore in the company pursuant to conversion of stock options.

In a disclosure to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Airtel said Kohli has bought 80,000 shares representing 0.004 per cent of the company's stake on May 15 for Rs 3,04,48,050.

The said transfer of shares is pursuant to the Employee Stock Option (ESOP) scheme 2001 of the company, it added.
Kohli, who held 1.23 lakh shares representing 0.006 per cent stake in Airtel, had offloaded his entire holding in March for Rs 7.24 crore through two open market transactions.

Shares of Bharti Airtel closed at Rs 980, up 22.53 per cent on the BSE.
