He uses two handsets ��� Nokia N-73 and N-9300. "I use almost all the features in my cellphone including camera and sound features," he says. He feels mobile film-making is the next big thing. "A mobile frame may be small but if you have a vision, you can shoot a good-quality documentary on a mobile," he says. So next time you visit a multiplex, it maybe a 20-minute movie shot by an amateur that you get to see! Will we have a movie exclusively for mobiles the way music albums have been shot in vertical cinemascope? "Why not? Soon you will have a Mukta Arts movie shot exclusively for mobile audience," he says.
So, which is one feature that he would like to have on his cellphone? " I wish books could be stored in a mobile phone. Also, if there could be a feature where I can directly go to a particular scene that I want to see from a movie already stored," he explains with enthusiasm.
Since Bollywood, as well as Ghai���s movies, is all about song and dance, ever wondered what his ringtone is? It is not a popular Bollywood item song or a hummable number from one of his flicks. It is the all-too familiar religious song - Om Jai Jagdish. If you happen to call him up on his mobile, the plain old ���tring tring ' will greet you. He hasn't subscribed to a caller tune yet.
He runs a hi-tech film training schools too called Whistling Woods International. "My hi-tech institute reflects the fact that I am a tech-savvy person," says Ghai. He receives around 70-100 fan e-mails as well as 10-15 other e-mails a day. "Many youngsters often mail me short movies that they have shot asking for a break," he says confirming the fact that he is net savvy.
