LG enters into distribution partnership with Brightstar

NEW DELHI: Consumer electronics major LG Electronics today said it has entered into a partnership with Brightstar for distribution of its GSM mobile phones in India.

The company also appointed LG GSM Mobiles Business Group Head H S Bhatia as the National Distributor for operator bundling sales of GSM Network Operators, a LG statement said here.

India, which is one of the fastest growing wireless markets in the world, is expected to have 385 million mobile users by 2010 from currently over 155 million, it said.

"The challenge in India is to reach consumers quickly in the highly fragmented marketplace and distribute products anywhere across the country," Bhatia said.
