Kavveri acquires Spotwave Wireless Inc
Telecom company, Kavveri Telecom Products Limited has acquired Spotwave Wireless Inc USA and Spotwave Wireless Inc Canada, with an investment of $7 million.

BANGALORE: Telecom company, Kavveri Telecom Products Limited has acquired Spotwave Wireless Inc USA and Spotwave Wireless Inc Canada, with an investment of $7 million.
This acquisition entitles Kavveri to the intellectual property, patents, trademarks, domain names and copyrights, technology, products and product designs, fixed assets, including inventory and customer orders and contracts, Kavveri MD Shivkumar Reddy told reporters today.
"This acquisition enables Kavveri to provide solutions in bringing outdoor signal inside for both commercial and residential locations ensuring that cell phones and wireless devices work reliably indoors", Reddy said.
"With this acquisition we plan to introduce the intelligent adaptive repeater in-building solution technology in India. We plan to introduce in the first quarter of the next fiscal year", Reddy said.
This technology will help offer uninterrupted coverage indoors for wireless devices at a very affordable prices. The intelligent adaptive repeater can be installed by even a non-technical personnel and would adapt to the nearest base station without interferring with the base station, thereby reducing the chances of jamming base station.
Kavveri, a leader in the manufacture of antennas and RF products for the wireless industry in India, had earlier acquired Til Tek, a leader in antennas, DLI, Canada, a leader in RF products and filters and Sigma Wireless, Ireland.
Kavveri, incorporated in 1991, also planned to upgrade its manufacturing facility at Jigani, near here with an investment of Rs 15 crore, Reddy said.
