GTL secures contract worth Rs 100 cr

Network services company GTL Ltd on Wednesday said it has bagged contract worth Rs 100 crore from a leading telecom operator which has major presence in the north and north-eastern regions of the country.

MUMBAI: Network services company GTL Ltd on Wednesday said it has bagged contract worth Rs 100 crore from a leading telecom operator which has major presence in the north and north-eastern regions of the country.

The telecom operator has engaged GTL for turnkey network services with an initial order of Rs 100 crore, the company said in a filing to BSE.

It, however, did not divulge the name of the telecom operator from which it has got the order.

The three-year contract involves turnkey network deployment and operations and maintenance services. The maintenance services include field level support, preventive and periodic maintenance and troubleshooting.

Further, GTL would lead manage the project and would offer project management, equipment supply, civil and electrical works and professional services.

According to the filing, the telecom operator is also expanding its operations in Bihar, Himachal Pradesh and West Bengal.

Shares of GTL were trading at Rs 247, up 1.50 per cent at the BSE.
