Foreign vendors quit Telecom Equipment Manufacturer Association of India

Four leading foreign vendors have asked TEMA to remove their logo from its website as their membership have been terminated by the body.

NEW DELHI: Four leading foreign vendors have left telecom industry body TEMA.

The foreign vendors have asked the Telecom Equipment Manufacturer Association of India (TEMA) to remove their logo from its website as their membership have been terminated by the body.

TEMA's Director General Ashok K Aggarwal said that basic issue for these vendors leaving it is not termination of membership due to non-clearance of annual membership fee but a letter to senior government officials.

The vendors have expressed displeasure that the association did not consult them on policy matters and before issuing any letter to senior government officials.

"Basic issue is not membership fee but letter that written by us to senior officials. An association works as per collective goal and not as per objective of individual members," Aggarwal.
