NEW DELHI: Government is all set to sign licence agreements with nine companies that were given LoI earlier and allocate start-up spectrum to roll out mobile services, a move that will intensify competition and may lead to a fall in tariffs.

A decision has been taken and licence pacts would be signed with all the companies in the next few days, sources said. Although some of the companies have approached telecom tribunal TDSAT or Delhi High Court to stall the process, but neither has stayed the process.
