Citi group picks up 6.3% stake in VSNL
Citi Group global markets has picked up 6.3 per cent stake in Tata-owned Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd through American Depository Receipts listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

MUMBAI: Citi Group global markets has picked up 6.3 per cent stake in Tata-owned Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd through American Depository Receipts listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
With this, Citi owns 1.86 crore shares in VSNL, according to the information that it filed with US Securites and Exchange Commission.
Before this transaction, Citi was holding 1.53 per cent in the company.
Currently, Tata group owns 44.25 per cent stake in VSNL and the Government of India owns 26 per cent while institutional investors holds 19.14 per cent and others including public holds 9.58 per cent.
With this, Citi owns 1.86 crore shares in VSNL, according to the information that it filed with US Securites and Exchange Commission.
Before this transaction, Citi was holding 1.53 per cent in the company.
