BSNL ties up with Contakt Technical to provide SMS alerts
BSNL has entered into agreement with the unstructured supplementary service data provider Contakt Technical Solutions for providing a value added service to CellOne mobile users.

MADURAI: State-run Bharat Sanchar Nigam has entered into agreement with the unstructured supplementary service data provider Contakt Technical Solutions for providing a value added service to CellOne mobile users for the first time in South India, company officials said.
As per the agreement Contakt Technical would provide "BSNL Expert alerts" to CellOne costumers across the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
Initially alert would be given on 21 different subjects including cricket, news, healthcare and stocks, S E Rajam and V K Sanjeevi, General Managers (Mobile services) and BSNL Madurai area told reporters here.
The service would be available for mobile users for Rs 30 and 25 respectively, depending on the subject chosen by the subscribers in SMS forms.
The agreement has been entered into on revenue sharing basis.
