BSNL, MTNL in alliance with Conexus to offer data roaming

NEW DELHI: State-run telecom operators BSNL and MTNL on Friday said they have entered into an alliance with Conexus Mobile to offer their subscribers a flat international data roaming plan.

"As part of the agreement the customers of MTNL and BSNL would get unlimited data roaming service by paying a lower fixed amount per day while roaming in a member country," MTNL Chairman and Managing Director RSP Sinha told reporters here.

Currently 10 member-operators from 12 countries, including Japan's NTT DOCOMO, Hong Kong-based Hutchisson, Indonesia's Indosat and Sinagopre's StarHub, are part of the Conexus allinace.
