A familiar classic Hindi number greets me as I call up Krauter Healthcare MD Ajit Chauhan. I like keeping track of gadgets that hit the markets. But I am not a compulsive gadget-freak. I would give myself seven on 10 in savviness. Technology is important in various spheres of life, but there should be a decent balance, says Chauhan.

He uses two phonesa BlackBerry Pearl and Nokia E-61mostly to catch up with pending work and check emails. With GPS capabilities, WiFi support, mobile streaming and a great video recorder as well as sleek looks, he swears by his BlackBerry. However, he now has his eyes set on a BlackBerry Bold, which is even better in terms of features, especially with a full qwerty keyboard and trackball navigation.

Being a workaholic, he mostly uses his HP laptop with Windows Vista system to touch base with his workstation while on the move or sometimes to download music online. As hinted by his hello-tune, he loves listening to old Hindi music. He will soon upgrade to an Apple Macbook Air. He is excited about the ultra-thin notebook with multi-touch technology, 2GB RAM and 80GB hard drive which will provide plenty of storage space. He also uses a 16GB I-pod nano to listen to favourite songs.

Ajit loves watching movies on the Sony Home theater system connected to the 46 LCD Sony television. ``The great sound and picture quality enhance the viewing experience, he says. Twice a week, he unwinds by playing games on his X-Box 360. While surfing online, he usually visits news and sports sites.
