Aiming to increase its customer base, Airtel Broadband & Telephone has tied up with Indiagames for offering online gaming for its broadband customers at a price of Rs 199 per month.
NEW DELHI: Aiming to increase its customer base, Airtel Broadband & Telephone has tied up with Indiagames for offering online gaming for its broadband customers at a price of Rs 199 per month.
The company has joined hands with Indiagames to bring its "Games on Demand Service" to the broadband customers, Airtel Chief Marketing Officer Akshay Kumar said after the launch of the service. The portal was unveiled by batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar.
More than 50 games are currently available for Airtel broadband users, which would be increased to 300 by 2007, Kumar said.
The users would be able to choose from a variety of single player and multiplayer games, which include titles such as Age of Umpires, Star Fury, Driv3R and Flight Simulator among others.
"The gaming market in India in 2004 stood at $25.4 billion and is estimated to reach $54.6 billion in this year," Kumar said.
