Airtel slashes prices for new broadband customers
Bharti Airtel on Monday said it has reduced rates of its home broadband plans by up to 30% for all new activations as the company won't be charging any premium for higher speed.
The company, which is looking at increasing engagement with its broadband customers, said it will now offer the fastest possible speed available in the area on most of its broadband plans without charging customers any premium. Airtel said all its broadband customers will get a minimum speed of 2 Mbps while the upper limit is 16 Mbps. “Under 'Airtel Surprises' existing customers can get higher speed or additional data completely free whereas for new customers, there is a reduction of up to 30% on Airtel home broadband plans,” Airtel said. The company is offering free upgrade to the higher available speeds at no additional cost to its existing users.
