Airtel launches Novosol's sports value added services

Airtel has joined hands with Singapore-based mobile content service provider Novosol to offer sports value added services (VAS).

NEW DELHI: Leading mobile operator Airtel has joined hands with Singapore-based mobile content service provider Novosol to offer sports value added services (VAS).

Airtel has launched Novosol's mobile Sports Media Services - MoCricket, MoFutbol and MoSportz.

The Singapore based mobile advertising and mobile media company, targets to cross Rs 500 crore in revenues annually.

"Subscribers have to pay between Rs 1 to 3 per day for our services. Even at Rs 1 per day, if we can capture 10 per cent of Airtel's 180 million subscribers, we will cross Rs 500 crores annually," Novosol CEO Minhaz Lokhandwala said.

"We are working actively and innovatively with Airtel to reach this target," he added.

Through Novosol's Sports WAP sites and services, one can check out the next generation of mobile media: multi-media content, real-time updates, entertaining insightful editorial and friendly quick interface.

Airtel by this partnership will not only be benefited from the VAS revenues but also from data revenues. Besides, this will also provide a good lift to the overall VAS ARPU for Airtel, the statement added.
