Airtel launches global Ethernet services in 4 continents

NEW DELHI: Telecom major Bharti Airtel today said it has launched Ethernet services in more than 25 cities across Asia, Europe, North America and Australia.

As a promotional offer, Bharti Airtel is offering 'One Capacity One Price' to US, UK, Singapore and Hong Kong to both the enterprises and wholesale customers, the company said in a statement here.

"The launch of the global Ethernet service portfolio is part of our strategy to become a truly global service provider with wide range of product offerings," it said.

Ethernet, which is emerging as the most secure medium for future high speed connectivity, simplifies customer-network integration and provides increased flexibility in choosing the bandwidth.

"Customers and partners can take the advantage of this 'One Capacity One Price' model and reach of Bharti Airtel network to meet their high speed connectivity requirements and achieve cost efficiency," Bharti Airtel Global Data Business CEO Ajay Chitkara said.

He further said the company is also enhancing the service features to meet various needs of different sets of its customers.
