Airtel launches 2G service in Arunachal Pradesh

Airtel has become the first private telecom operator to connect Bomdila, Jameri, Zero Point and Tenga Valley to rest of the world.

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel Tuesday said it has expanded its footprints in Arunachal Pradesh with the roll out of its 2G services on prepaid in Bomdila, Jameri, Zero Point and Tenga Valley.

With the service launch, Airtel has become the first private telecom operator to connect Bomdila, Jameri, Zero Point and Tenga Valley to rest of the world, Airtel said in a statement.

“The deployment of network at one of the most treacherous terrain in the country will help natives and tourists stay connected,” C Surendran, CEO - North Eastern States and Assam, Bharti Airtel, said in the statement.

Airtel’s customers can remain connected by recharging with packs priced as low as Rs 10 to use voice and data offerings.
