Aircel launches Rs 10 credit service for prepaid customers

NEW DELHI: mobile phone operator Aircel on Thursday said it has tied up with mobile technology provider mCarban to launch ‘Extra Credit Service’ that allows pre-paid consumers to get Rs 10 credit.

“Aircel’s Extra Credit service will provide its users an instant loan of Rs 10 by dialing *414# or IVR dialing 12880 or through SMS LOAN to 55414, which can be availed when their balance drops below Rs 10,” the company in a statement said.

On subsequent recharging, the loan value, credited to the customer’s account, will be deducted along with a convenience fee.

Aircel said that the prepaid customers in Delhi and Mumbai regions who have been on the network for a minimum of 120 days will be able to enjoy the new service.

“With the launch of Aircel’s Extra Credit Service, we aim to ensure that our customers are connected 24X7, even in times of need when they have exhausted their account balance,” Anupam Vasudev, Chief Marketing Officer, Aircel said.
