Acme buys telco infra provider
Telecom infrastructure major Acme Telepower has acquired Norway-based telecom infrastructure provider Reime Network Implementation Services for $11 million.
The company is also eyeing acquisitions and JVs in China and South America to reach out to the telecom players there. Besides going for an IPO in January next year, Acme would also invest $50 million to set up a new manufacturing facility in Himachal Pradesh.
“With this acquisition, we intend to leverage Reime’s relationship with telecommunication operators in Africa to market its products and solutions. The deal would not only extend our product portfolio, but also strengthen our presence in new geographies,” said Acme Telepower MD Manoj Upadhyay.
“We also want to consolidate our market in South-east Asia, Middle-East and Eastern Europe,” he added.
