3G service launched by Airtel in UP-East

LUCKNOW: Telecom major, Airtel announced the launch of its Platinum 3G services in Lucknow on Thursday. Platinum 3G was launched earlier this week in Kanpur and, CEO, UP-East and Bihar, Dhruv Bhagat said that by the month end it would be available in five cities of the state.

"We are now providing Platinum 3G in Lucknow and Kanpur, by the month end it would also be available in Gorakhpur, Varanasi and Allahabad. Our 3G service is based on cutting edge technology platform and would offer a better and faster experience than the traditional 3G format and thus we have labelled it Platinum 3G" Bhagat said. He said that they hope to cover all major towns and district headquarters in UP-East with 3G by March 2016.

The telecom player has ramped up its infrastructure throughout the region to provide seamless connectivity to its subscribers.
