3G auction to be over by Sept 30: DoT

The auction process for the third generation (3G) spectrum service are likely to be over by September 30, Telecom Secretary Siddhartha Behura said on Friday.

MUMBAI : The auction process for the third generation (3G) spectrum service are likely to be over by September 30, Telecom Secretary Siddhartha Behura said on Friday.

"The ideal time for the auctions will be between September and October this year."

"But the auctions should most likely be completed by September 30," he told reporters on the sidelines of the Energy Efficiency Summit organised by Nokia-Siemens.
