2nd witness says Raja's ex-aide rented property to Balwa's firm

An MCD official today told a Delhi court that A Raja's former Private Secretary R K Chandolia was the owner of a local property.

NEW DELHI: An MCD official today told a Delhi court, holding trial in 2G spectrum allocation case, that A Raja's former Private Secretary R K Chandolia was the owner of a local property which was rented to an alleged D B Realty group firm Associated Hotels Pvt Ltd.

Testifying as a prosecution witness, MCD Zonal Inspector (Property Tax) Vijay Kumar told Special CBI Judge O P Saini that Chandolia and his wife Neeta had on August 9, 2007, applied for mutation of their property, situated at Safdarjung Development Area, in their names and confirmed that they are the owners of the property even today.

"As per the file, the owners of the property, even as on today, are Neeta and R K Chandolia," Kumar said. The recording of his statement concluded today.

According to the CBI charge sheet, Chandolia had rented his property to Associated Hotels Pvt Ltd for two years from March 3, 2009, to March 2, 2011.

Earlier, another prosecution witness, a D B Realty official, too had also testified that Associated Hotels Pvt Ltd and his firm was linked to each other.
