2G scam: Kanimozhi Karunanidhi asks Delhi HC to quash charges against her

Kanimozhi Karunanidhi has asked the Delhi High Court to quash charges against her by the country’s highest investigation agency CBI.

NEW DELHI: Kanimozhi Karunanidhi has asked the Delhi High Court to quash charges against her by the country’s highest investigation agency CBI in the 2G spectrum allocation scam.

In her plea submitted to the court on Friday, the Rajya Sabha MP said that she had no connection with grant of mobile permits in 2008 and did not hold any executive functions at Kalaignar TV.

The CBI has accused Kanimozhi along with 16 others in the 2G spectrum allocation case with charges of criminal breach of trust, corruption, criminal conspiracy, falsification of documents, cheating and abetment to crime. The Investigating agency had accused Kanimozhi of acceptingRs200 crore bribe from DB Realty.
