2G scam: A Raja had visited Kanimozhi residence, says Achary

NEW DELHI: A key witness in the 2G spectrum allocation case told a Delhi court that former telecom minister A Raja, main accused in the case, had visited residence of DMK MP Kanimozhi, and also requested that he 'need not be disturbed' while he was there. Kanimozhi is a co-accused in the case.

Aseervartham Achary, Raja's former additional private secretary revealed these details to the CBI Special court. He had not told this to the CBI or the Magistrate while recording his statement.

"A Raja himself told me that he was visiting the house of Ms Kanimozhi and need not be disturbed. " Achary said.

Legal counsels representing former telecoms secretary Siddharth Behura, Raja's former personal aide RK Chandolia and Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Balwa cross-examined Achary on Tuesday.
