Zambia seeks Indian investments in tourism

Zambia, a land-locked country located in the southern part of Africa, is seeking Indian tourists and investments in tourism and various other sectors.

KOLKATA: Zambia, a land-locked country located in the southern part of Africa, is seeking Indian tourists and investments in tourism and various other sectors.

Acting Deputy High Commissioner of Zambia in India Bwala Lyapa Nondo said that the number of Indians visiting Zambia for business and leisure was rising steadily.

Last year, nearly 25,000 Indians visited Zambia, he said at an interaction organised by MCC Chamber of Commerce here today.

Nondo said that Zambia was having numerous tourist attractions like the Victoria Falls and Livingstone National Park.

He said that the country was having several national parks for wildlife safaris.

Nondo said that other sectors where Indians can invest were copper mining and oil exploration.

Zambia had lifted exchange controls and allowed full repatriation of profits, he said.
