Wayanad emerging as a tourism destination

Union Minister of state for home Mullappally Ramachandran today said Wayanad district is becoming an emerging tourism destination in the country.

KALPETTA (Kerala): Union Minister of state for home Mullappally Ramachandran today said Wayanad district is becoming an emerging tourism destination in the country.

Speaking after inaugurating Wayanad Chamber of Commerce here, Ramachandran said tourism development activities should not hamper the environment.

He urged Wayanad Chamber of Commerce to include an eco-based tourism promotion in the district.

Earlier, in a brief talk with mediapersons Ramachandran, to a query on RML leader rebel T P Chandrasekharan's murder said 'I do not want to say anything more on it because I had already said my stand on the day he was killed".

'I have not changed my stand and I still stick to that', he said.

The minister had alleged immediately after the incident that CPI(M) was behind the murder.
