Thomas Cook launches summer packages for budget travellers

Travel-services provider, Thomas Cook India, on Monday launched summer packages for budget travellers in the country.


MUMBAI: Travel-services provider, Thomas Cook India, on Monday launched summer packages for budget travellers in the country.

Starting from Rs 7,999 per person, the package, Beat the Heat, will take budget travellers to tourist places in Ooty, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, and Uttarakhand, a release issued here said.

"With the launch of summer packages we take an opportunity to introduce certain exotic and unexplored destinations across our beautiful country and tap a large Indian traveller base," company's Managing Director, Madhavan Menon, said.

The offers are available for booking on or before April 30.

Thomas Cook has presence in 160 locations in the country and had posted a total income of Rs 286.2 crore for the 12 months ended December, 2007, the company said.

The company has 2,500 employees in the country and has operations in Sri Lanka and Mauritius.
