Thomas Cook India appoints Dipak Deva as M D of its inbound arm Travel Corporation
Travel major Thomas Cook (India) has appointed Dipak Deva as Managing Director of its inbound arm Travel Corporation (India).
“Dipak comes with a wealth of experience of over 26 years in the inbound travel business and will be responsible for overall business strategy and delivery at TCI," Madhavan Menon, chairman and managing director, Thomas Cook (India) said in a statement.
In principle approval of the boards of Thomas Cook (India), Travel Corporation (India) (TCI) and Kuoni Travel (India)(Kuoni India), has been obtained to merge SITA, the inbound division of Kuoni India, with TCI, subject to regulatory approvals and compliance, if any.
Thomas Cook (India), backed by billionaire investor Prem Watsa’s Fairfax Financial Holdings, acquired Zurich-headquartered Kuoni’s travel business in India and Hong Kong for Rs 535 crore in August.
