Thomas Cook appoints Vinayak Purohit as Exec Dir

MUMBAI: Leading travel company Thomas Cook (India) has appointed Vinayak Purohit as Executive Director (Finance).

He will also join the board, a company release said here today.

Prior to joining Thomas Cook, Purohit was Chief Financial Officer of HT Media, Delhi.

A Bombay University graduate and a chartered accountant, Purohit has worked in organisations like, GE Countrywide Financial Services, Rediff.com India and BPL Mobile at various levels.

Thomas Cook had appointed two top-level executives earlier this month for its key business. Nalini Uday Gupta took over as the President and Head of Thomas Cook's travel business.

Vijay Sethi also joined as the Head of the company's newly created department of Service Quality and Customer care.
