Thailand, WB mull joint tour package
A senior Commerce Ministry official of Thailand government, T S Pong met West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on Tuesday and proposed to develop a joint tour package with West Bengal government.

A senior Commerce Ministry official of Thailand government, T S Pong met West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on Tuesday and proposed to develop a joint tour package with West Bengal government. The official also invited Mr Bhattacharjee to Bangkok to discuss with the Thai government various business issues.
Mr Pong, regional leader of the Thailand Ministry of Commerce, also told the Chief Minister that the Government of Thailand was interested in developing food processing units in different parts of West Bengal. “Road connectivity and other infrastructure facilities in West Bengal have developed a lot and our government is willing to invest here in different sectors like tourism, fishing and food processing,” Mr Pong told newspersons at Writers’ Buildings, the state administrative headquarters.
