South Australia to spend A$2 million to woo more Indian tourists
Indian tourists visiting South Australia spent A$13 million during the January-September 2015 period, with an average spend of A$ 909 per visitor.
The idea is to create awareness about the destination, and it is the first time that we are investing in the Indian market to create visibility,” said Dana Urmonas, regional director, Southeast Asia and India, South Australian Tourism Commission.

The SATC is now planning to reach the consumers directly through social media and awareness campaigns. “We are following a threepronged approach — B2B, B2C and direct promotional campaigns — to create awareness. While we already have partnered with offline players, we are now looking to tie up with online travel agencies,” said Urmonas.
