Series of packages to lure young Indian travellers to Malaysia

As part of its 51st 'Merdeka Day' celebrations, Tourism Malaysia has taken a series of packages to reach out to young Indian travellers, with options of extending their weekends with 'short-breaks' to five cities of Malaysia.


CHENNAI : As part of its 51st 'Merdeka Day' celebrations, Tourism Malaysia has taken a series of packages to reach out to young Indian travellers, with options of extending their weekends with 'short-breaks' to five cities of Malaysia.

The packages offer travellers the option of choosing any one of the getaways of Langkawi, Penang, Kotkinabalu, Kuching, Pangkor, Putrajaya, Genting, Sunway Lagoon or Afamosa resort that can clubbed with excursions to Malaysia's capitay city, a press release from Tourism Malaysia here said.

The Kuala Lumpur excursion package for three nights and four days is priced at Rs 8555 and includes airport transfers, accommodation in star category hotel with breakfast, an Indian set dinner.

The package includes a Kuala Lumpur night tour, with entrance to the Kuala Lumpur tower and a night-view photo opportunity at the famed Petronas twin towers, along with a chance to shop in China Town, the release said.

Visitors can further augment their sojourn with optional day tours, available at extra cost to include a full Putrajaya Tour with 'Tasik cruise experience' or a genting tour with outdoor theme park and cable car rides.

Travellers can also choose to explore the rich biodiversity of Kota Kinabalu at Rs 7,555 that includes a full day visit, with transfers to Kota Kinabalu national park and poring hot springs.

The Langkawi island itinerary, at Rs 9,555, includes half day island hopping with egale feeding, a half day mangrove tour with cave explorations and a visit to the fish farm, the release added.
