MPTDC taking various iniatives to attract tourists
Keeping in view that a large number of tourists, both domestic and international are flocking to the state, Madhya Pradesh government has undertaken a positive initiative for rapid development of facilities at tourist destinations in the state.
Announcing the decision yesterday at a function at Bhim Bethka to inaugurate Highway Treat, 40 kms from here, Minister of State for Tourism, Sports and Youth Affairs, Tukoji Rao Puar said that inauguration of Highway is another milestone in the series of tourist facilities extended by the state.
On the initiative of the state government, Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation is equipping tourist places in the state with all the facilities.
He said that tourist places in Ujjain, Chitrakoot, Mandu, Khajuraho and Pachmarhi have been connected to the series of total development and efforts to promote tourism are being undertaken accordingly.
He informed that assistance is also being received from the Union government for development of tourist places in Madhya Pradesh.
The function was presided over by Chairman of Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Dhurv Narayan Singh. MPSTDC managing director Ashwini Lohani, collector of Raisen district Sandeep Yadav, Chief General Manager of MPSTDC Balmukund Namdev, public representatives and officers were also present on the occasion.
