Most Indian travellers end up paying more
Nearly 40% of Indian travellers end up paying up excessive baggage fee while some of them paying as much as Rs 7500.
The results have been collated basis a survey carried out with over 500 Indian travellers who have booked air travel online. Airlines have become stringent about excess baggage or overweight bags with fees being charged in the range of Rs 2250-7500.
As per the survey , Indians find packing for mountain breaks most difficult as over half of the travellers surveyed said that they were flustered while planning for such a trip. From a packing perspective, more than half of the respondents (59%) admit to spending between one and two days preparing for their holiday. Less than a third (22%) admit to spending only two hours in packing their suitcases and nearly 18% spend more than 2 days in packing their bags.
Respondents said they wear extra clothes like three jackets, stuffing small things in pockets and using infant strollers as various ways to help accommodate extra baggage.
