Indians are one of the most enthusiastic holidayers in the world, according to the 2014 Holiday Spending Index, a survey conducted by Expedia, on the spending preferences of vacationers across the globe. Here are some other findings.

85% Indians save for a vacation in advance, second only to Mexicans (89%).

The online survey was conducted by Northstar, from 11 March to 2 April 2014, across North America, Europe, South America and Asia Pacific. The study was conducted among 11,165 adults over 18 years of age, across 24 countries. Figures don't add up to 100 due to multiple responses.
