HPTDC announces monsoon discount to attract tourists

SHIMLA: With summer tourist season cut short by early rains, Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation today announced monsoon discount for accommodation in all its hotels from July 1 to September 13, 2013 to attract visitors.

The discount, however, would not be applicable on three days from August 9 to 11, Managing Director, HPTDC, Subhashis Panda said.

The discount would be 35 to 40 per cent in Shimla and Dalhousie-Chamba, complex, 30 to 35 per cent in Chail complex, 35 per cent in Barog, Parwanoo and Rampur complex and 30 to 40 per cent in Mandi- Kullu-Manali and Dharamsala-Palampur complexes.

However, no discount will be available on dormitory accommodation and Hotel Iravati and Hotel Champak in Chamba during Minjar Fair from July 28 to August 5.
