Himanshu Singh to head Travelocity’s India team
Travelocity India has appointed Himanshu Singh as the managing director of India operations.
Mr Singh is also part of the executive team at ZUJI, Travelocity’s wholly owned operation in Asia Pacific, and the leading online travel company in the Asia Pacific region.
Travelocity and its network sites have globally booked nearly $7.4bn (Rs 34,000 crores) in travel globally in ’05. Travelocity announced its plans for India in May this year and is currently developing its product offering and building its India management team to offer the local travelling public access to a customised version of the world renowned Travelocity online travel site.
The offer of global distribution and communication via the Travelocity network of online travel sites offers Indian suppliers (hotels, airlines, car rental companies, etc) an opportunity to make their products available to millions of travellers in a cost-effective way units.
