Haryana to develop religious tourism circuit

Haryana Tourism Development Board has decided to develop pilgrim destinations at Kurukshetra, Pehowa and Haridwar as part of religious tourism circuit.

CHANDIGARH: Haryana Tourism Development Board has decided to develop pilgrim destinations at Kurukshetra, Pehowa and Haridwar as part of religious tourism circuit.

It has also decided in principal subject to Cabinet approval that the Tourism Department will develop an integrated tourism resort at Kalesar for long term lease in about nine acres of land in public-private partnership and also develop Narnaul as heritage city en route to Shekhavati.

Adventure camp sites at Surajkund, Damdama, Hodal and Dharuhera tourist complexes will be developed and the Centre has sanctioned funds for creation of areas to cater to the large gatherings at Hodal and Dharuhera for an amount of Rs 1.2 crore each for short term lease subjected to cabinet approval.
