Gray Line Worldwide, the world’s largest provider of sightseeing tours, will operate sightseeing tours in four cities in India beginning January ’07.

MUMBAI: Gray Line Worldwide, the world’s largest provider of sightseeing tours, will operate sightseeing tours in four cities in India beginning January ’07.

The Denver, Colarado-based company has tied up with Shree Raj Travels & Tours to offer its traditional bouquet of services like city tours, day trips and excursions to architecturally and historically significant sites across the region.

Commenting on the tie-up, chairman and managing director Raj Travels Lalit Sheth said the agreement is for exclusive representation for the whole of India.

The Gray Line brand is recognised by international travellers and is extensively used by people travelling alone.

The tours can be booked from people’s home towns, but will also be sold in India through tie-ups with various hotels, he added. Raj Travels will operate the Gray Line buses in their distinctive livery in India.

The sightseeing tours will be offered from Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai, expanding the Gray Line presence to 10 destinations across Asia.
