THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Global brands in the boating sector, including players in the leisure, marine equipment and navigational and telecommunication aids segments will participate in the fifth edition of the India International Boat Show to be held at Kochi from October 20 to 22.
Kerala tourism minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said here that the 60-odd exhibitors at the show would include all leading international boating brands.
These include Bayliner, Trophy, Walker Bay, Ferretti, and Regal besides marine equipment market leaders like Garmin, Lalizas, Vetus, Plastimo and Volvo Penta.
He said roughly 400-odd buyers from India and abroad was expected at the show, which will also showcase the offerings of Indian builders, including Praga Marine, Seaspray Aluminium Boats, Hunter Marine, Aries Marine and Alcock Ashdown. This year, the boat show will feature a seminar on the potential and prospects of marine tourism in India.
The event will have 7,000 sq ft of product display space and 10 on-water displays. Kerala tourism director B Suman said the event was being held at an outlay of about Rs 60 lakh, with a contribution of Rs 12 lakh from the Centre.
