Germany expects 8%-10% tourist arrivals from India this year
The GNTO recently announced its new campaign in India for its new campaign theme – ‘Germany - UNESCO World Heritage destination’.
"We are targeting an approximate 8 to 10% growth from all visitor segments from India and will be investing to the tune of 500,000 € into the market in 2014.
We are confident of Germany maintaining its position as one of the most favored European destination’s by Indian visitors and hope to see the Indian fan following grow for destination Germany”, said Romit Theophilus, director sales and marketing at the German National Tourist Office, India.

Theophilus also said Germany has been consistently placed amongst top three most popular European destinations out of India. Last year, there were close to 615,000 overnight stays from India, said German ambassador to India, Michael Steiner.
German companies have their operations across sectors in India, especially automobiles which has Volkswagen, BMW and Volvo apart from Adidas in the retail space and chemical companies such as Bayer.
