Bookings still open at Ooty this season

COIMBATORE: The bookings for December 30 and 31 are still open in almost all the leading hotels in Ooty and it sums up the situation the hoteliers face in the queen of hill station this festive season.

The global economic crisis clubbed with recent Mumbai blasts has slowed down tourist inflow to this largely tourism-dependent town. ���People from Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat and West Bengal are the regular visitors during this holiday season but this year, their arrivals have come down drastically.
