Are you working illegally in the US?
It is not true that almost all Indian students work in the US illegally, very few do so at the risk of their career.
Almost all students who go from India to USA on student visa, work there illegally in stores and restaurants. My parents, however, do not want me to work illegally in USA. I want to reduce my parents financial burden and have therefore decided to work there illegally like other Indian students. Is there any harm in doing so? How would the immigration authorities find out that I am illegally working in USA.

The thought behind reducing your parents’ financial burden is good but thereby you are intending to do something which is illegal. Please refrain from working illegally in USA. The US government has several ways to locate a student who is working illegally . If caught, you will ruin your career. It is not true that almost all Indian students work in USA illegally, very few do so at the risk of their career.
In form DS-156 , in answer to one of the questions asked - I have stated that I’m staying ‘on the university campus’ . I am, however, really going to stay at one of my relative’s house.

After every 5 or 10 years, the American government grants amnesty to people who are illegally residing in America. I have, therefore, decided to travel to USA on the B-1 /B-2 visa which I possess and which is valid till another 3 years. I have decided that after entering USA I will take up a job there and
will not return to India. After a few years, the American government will again announce amensty and I will take advantage of the same. What do you think about my plan?

Your plan is not worth entertaining. All illegal immigrants are not granted amnesty periodically. Those who stay in USA illegally are living in pathetic conditions . If you desire to migrate to USA, try and find out available options under the USA immigration laws. There are several different categories of visas which may enable you to legally stay and work in USA permanently .
I am going to America to do a Bachelor’s course. Can I do a master’s course thereafter and then do doctorate?
Yes. But you will have to extend your student status or obtain fresh student visas.
