Union Minister of Tourism and Culture, Ambika Soni on Tuesday said that 15 new tourism destinations are being developed in a holistic manner across the country.

NEW DELHI: Union Minister of Tourism and Culture, Ambika Soni on Tuesday said that 15 new tourism destinations are being developed in a holistic manner across the country.

She also said that four international shopping festivals would be held in the country.

Addressing the India Economic Summit session on "The Key Challenges Ahead," jointly organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the World Economic Forum, Soni assured that the public-private sector partnership would be more inclusive through the various projects that have been proposed by the tourism ministry.

She also said the government would encourage creating student guide banks, which the hospitality sector could use.

Soni said that the government "wants to move out of tourism and culture so that we have less of government and more of tourists."
