Welspun-Gujarat Q1 net jumps 66%

Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren posted a 66.5% increase in profit after tax of Rs 26.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, ‘06.

MUMBAI: Welspun-Gujarat Stahl Rohren posted a 66.5% increase in profit after tax of Rs 26.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, ‘06 as compared to Rs 16 crore for the same quarter in ‘05-06.

The total income (net of excise) increased 63.2% to Rs 536.3 crore for the quarter ended June 30, from Rs 329 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago.
