Vodafone expands footprint of its all-women stores

NEW DELHI: Expanding the footprint of its all women retail stores called 'Angel Stores', Vodafone India today said it will open the 16th store in Kerala on International Women's Day on March 8.

"By the end of this week, Vodafone will have 15 Angel stores fully operational across the country...the 16th store will be opening in Kerala on the occasion of International Women's Day," Vodafone said in a statement.

The company had started the initiative of all-women retail stores in second half of FY13.

"The Angel stores are a part of our commitment to provide our women employees with one of the most secure and productive work environment," Vodafone India Managing Director and CEO Marten Pieters said.

Spread across 13 states, Vodafone Angel Stores are operational in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Goa, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Shillong, Bhubaneshwar, Jaipur, Agra, Mysore, Chennai, Lucknow, Kolkata and Hyderabad.
