Tradus.com launches online storefronts for wholesellers
Tradus.com is bringing the concept of wholesale buying to the World Wide Web by launching online seller storefront services today.
"Every shopper's dream is to buy branded products at wholesale prices. But, going to a wholesale market can be highly inconvenient. Our mission is to deliver wholesale prices right to the consumers' homes. Giving every wholesaler in India a platform to upload and sell their products is a major step in this direction," said Krishna Motukuri, Managing Director of the e-commerce portal.
Wholesalers and distributors can make use of the storefront page on Tradus to showcase their products, while buyers can check seller ratings and feedback given by other buyers to their goods. The website claims to have received 1,000 sign ups from wholesalers and distributors already. "We have been selling on Tradus for over 18 months now and have seen tremendous growth in our business in this span of time. We are really excited about our seller storefront as it gives us an opportunity to build our brand and connect with our buyers. We are looking forward to customising and personalising this space in the near future," said Neraj Gupta, Chairman of Suman Enterprises in New Delhi, a wholesaler of memory storage devices.
Unlike retailers who make a significant investment in real estate, wholesalers can upload their inventory on Tradus and start taking orders from individual customers. By eliminating the retailer in the middle, both consumers and wholesalers will stand to benefit, claims the e-commerce company.
